Casa Maya is a new social enterprise led by SERES and Casa Maya Founder Abigail Quic that provides economic empowerment to indigenous women through conscientious tourism. CM builds upon the role that women have as custodians of bio-cultural heritage and provides a model to help these women develop economic freedom that in turn contributes towards increased social and political freedom and greater community self-determination.
